August is finally here and with it comes “back to school” shopping which is just what we need to get motivated for the upcoming semester. I love “back to school” shopping but since I’m an online grad student, I don’t need to go shopping for anything that isn’t on the course’s list of materials. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t admire the fashions.
This time around the collection that caught my eye and has “back to school” written all over it is the “Make the Cut: Retro Honor Roll” Collection from Modcloth. The “MTC: Retro Honor Roll” collection was inspired by 1960’s back to school style. Modcloth’s specialty is vintage inspired garments (and kooky names) and the MTC collection is a great visual representation of the retailer’s aesthetic. The best thing about this collection is that it was made by girls like you and I that created the designs and submitted them for the “MTC” contest. Co-founder Susan Gregg Koger also plays a major role in the creation of this collection. Modcloth is very interactive with its community and is a great example to follow in the fashion industry. I love all of the dresses; they’re perfect for fall and are pretty affordable too. The “MTC: Retro Honor Roll” collection will be available on August 15.
I’m obsessed! Which one is your favorite? Are you thinking about purchasing any of the dresses? Sound off below!
