Lookbook Love: Nasty Gal’s Valley Girl

Nasty Gal has released their latest lookbook, Valley Girl, and it’s obviously a Coachella-themed one. Good move for Nasty Gal since the festival is about three weeks away. I guess this is why they’re doing some “limited time overnight shipping for orders $150 up”. This is Nasty Gal’s way of saying “get your festival shopping on here and we’ll have your stuff home by tomorrow”. I love it though I’m not attending Coachella for reasons that you’re sick of reading about and I’m sick of writing about.

Back to the good stuff, I love this lookbook. It’s very bright with a simple yet strong background to contrast the bold colors and prints. I really like the model used for this lookbook especially for her tan (although she’s from Guam so I think that’s her skin tone), her awesome eyebrows, and her beautiful hair. My favorite photo is the one where she has the pastel bathing suit with the neon shades. If she weren’t tan, it wouldn’t have stood out as much.

The lookbook consists of festival essentials like cutoff shorts, neon tones, pastel tones, flower crowns, headbands, fringe, cool tees, even cooler shades, flowy dresses, and everything you’ve grown accustomed to see in festivals. Now there is one thing that bugs me about this lookbook: where the feck is that Whatever tie-dye tee with Metallica font? I’m not a psychic but that looks like UNIF and I needed it in my life last week. Below are some of my favorite pieces from the lookbook feature. Click on your favorite image!
