One of the reasons to love summer is all the long awaited films that finally come out. This variety ranges from big budget films like “The Dark Knight Rises” (which I can’t wait to see) to the small and quirky film that comes out today in the United States: Moonrise Kingdom. Ever since I saw the trailer I’ve been quite excited about this film. Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, and Bruce Willis are some of the actors that are in this film directed by Wes Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Rushmore, etc.). The general film plot is the following: two awkward yet smart kids fall in love and run away together in 1960s New England. It looks to have the quirkiness that Wes Anderson films are known for. The film already premiered in Cannes (ooh la la) and it’s been getting good reviews. I can’t wait to see it! Below is the trailer for the film followed by featurettes of Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton and Wes Anderson narrated by Bob Balaban who also plays the narrator in the film. Enjoy!
If this doesn’t get you excited to watch this film you’ve got problems.
What do you think? Will you be watching “Moonrise Kingdom”?
Till the next post guys!! Take care.
