La tienda “vintage” Ouna’s Closet reabrirá mañana agosto 1 luego de un “break” para remodelaciones, reorganizaciones y para añadir las secciones de Miss Francis y MUSA. El nuevo concepto en Ouna’s será uno filtrado y curado con un enfoque en crear looks con piezas vintage pero con un toque moderno. Los racks serán organizados por décadas y en sus áreas tendrán accesorios correspondientes a ellas ya sea porque fueron hechos para esa época o fueron inspirados en ella. Adicional a la mercancía vintage, Ouna’s Closet tendrá disponible piezas nuevas para complementar y completar looks como “tights”, “fascinators”, los famosos y codiciados turbantes (yo me tuve que llevar uno porque lo necesitaba en mi vida), etc. Lo que más me emocionó y llamó la atención fueron las piezas de Fábrica R3 (Rags Recycled Responsibly) que consiste de piezas de ropa “vintage” modificadas y alteradas (por Angela y Francis) a piezas con cortes y estructuras modernas. Lo que más se apreció fueron las piezas con cortes estilo “fishtail” y “crop tops” las cuales están muy a la moda actualmente. También habrán faldas hechas de guayaberas. Además venderán joyería hecha por diseñadores locales. La mercancía de MUSA Art to Wear no estará disponible hasta septiembre.

Vintage shop Ouna’s Closet will be reopening tomorrow August 1^st after a short break taken for remodeling, reorganizing and adding the new Miss Francis and MUSA sections. Ouna’s Closet new concept will be a filtered and curated one focusing on creating the perfect look with vintage pieces with a modern touch. The racks will be organized by decades and in their respective areas there will be accessories correspondent to them either because they were created at that time or inspired by it. To help with the main focus of the shop Ouna’s Closet will be selling new pieces to complement and complete looks like tights, fascinators, turbans, hats, etc. The most exciting thing to me is the pieces from Fábrica R3 (Rags Recycled Responsibly) which consists of vintage clothing modified (by Angela and Francis) into pieces with modern cuts and structures. There are a lot of pieces with fishtail cut and crop tops both of which are in style right now. There will also be skirts made out of “guayaberas”. There will also be new jewelry created by local designers. MUSA Art to Wear won’t have merchandise available until September.

Miss Francis, quien es la encargada de hacer las alteraciones a las piezas que los clientes compran en la tienda o traen de sus casas, estará disponible de miércoles a sábado (antes estaba sábados solamente). Adicional a las alteraciones tendrá disponible piezas como cartucheras y bufandas que ella ha creado de pedazos de tela que han quedado de las alteraciones. Miss Francis, who is in charge of alterations to pieces that the clients buy in the store or bring from their homes, will be available Wednesdays to Saturdays (before she only worked on Saturdays). She will also have available pieces that she created from fabrics that were left over from past alterations.
