What is Sunday Best? Google says it’s a noun referring to a person’s best clothes, worn to church or on special occasions.

In Lady Goodman, Sunday Best is whatever you want to wear on a Sunday that makes you feel fabulous. The clothes that will start and end your Sunday on the right foot. The look that will give you that pat on your back to start your week on a positive note and with a smile on your face. It can be whatever you want it to be as long as it makes you happy.

In this first (And hopefully not last *fingers crossed*) edition of “Sunday Best” I present to you The Lelia Dress from Mara Hoffman.

If you’re looking for a Say Something dress for when you don’t have a Say Something hat then THIS is the dress for you. The neckline, the sleeves, the bold print, the open back… what’s not to love about this dress?

In terms of styling, I would keep it minimal, comfortable and rustic: Espadrille wedges or neutral sandals, a straw handbag, a long necklace, cat-eye sunglasses and a bold lip to finish it off. I will forever love a bold lip.  

This is a dress that’s perfect for a fancy brunch, a date and for whatever you want. At $895, I’d wear this dress to bed too. Lelia is a lot little over my budget but a girl can dream.

Hopefully this is the first of many volumes of Sunday Best. I have no idea if other bloggers/influencers/websites are doing this and honestly, I don’t care. I see this as an exercise to write and inspire you while inspiring myself.

I’ll try to keep it as brief as I can.
