Beneath the Surface is Pun 18’s latest individual exhibit which opened on September 17 in Walter Otero Contemporary Art. Pun 18 aka Philip Cruz is a well known street artist whose work has been published in books like “The History of American Graffiti”, Graffiti Burners” and “Graffiti Planet”(1 & 2). In the pictures below you can see that there’s a sci-fi influence clearly visible in all the work. It stands out from the bold purples, reds, blues, greens and pinks that invade most of the paintings. It’s abstract, bold and beautiful. Below are some bits and pieces from the exhibit.
