Shoesday: Break Rules and Mix Metals

This week’s Shoesday features one my most favorite boots ever: the BDG Leather Chelsea boot. I’m deeply in love with it. Beautiful, leather-made, comfortable, and affordable. Definitely falls in the Shoe to Wear the Crap out of” category. I purchased Chelsea at Urban Outfitters last week and hope to make a outfit post with it soon. I’m size 8.5 or 9. I read that it runs a little small so I got them in size 9 and they fit perfectly. *thumbs up*

In the meantime I made a Polyvore set featuring Chelsea to get my creative juices flowing. Fashion rules bug me. People say “Don’t wear white after labor day” or “Don’t mix hardware”. I say fuck you; it’s my clothes, my shoes, my hardware, I bought it so I can wear it any way I please. Deal with it or look away. Thank God for Cheap Monday creating the mixed metal Geometry necklace. I love metal and I love geometry so it’s no surprise that I LOVE this necklace and want it “very mucho”. Enough words here’s the set:

Break Rules and Mix Metals
So I already told you about Chelsea and the Cheap Monday Geometry necklace. I’ve started to develop a crush on all things army with leather sleeves hence the dope contrast sleeve army jacket from Topshop shown above. Pacsun has a similar and more affordable version from Sound and Matter. The pants are the Ivo low-rise-stretch corduroy skinny jeans from Étoile Isabel Marant but I found some WAY MORE affordable high rise cigarette jeans from BDG at UO. The Gnarly Bro tee from UNIF has been on my crosshairs for more than a month now. She will be mine, oh yes, she will be mine. I wanted something “unexpected” for the handbag and I found this Mirrored Genius crossbody bag from Deena and Ozzy that also comes in gold. I think it’s a great bag to have for the upcoming holiday festivities. It has the party vibe but it also comes in a convenient size for overnight toiletries and flasks. Am I giving you ideas? Good.
So what do you think of the set above? Would you rock a similar look? How about the leather Chelsea boots? You like? Tell me below.

Till the next post!! Take care.
