A Pictorial Ode to the 4th of July

Let me begin by wishing you a happy 4th of July if you’re American or if you consider yourself one. I think it’s cool that this year’s 4th of July is a Wednesday although it sucks because you probably have to go back to work on Thursday. Anyways enjoy the day! (Did I just troll you?) I personally have no plans for the day so we’ll see what happens.

I was brainstorming on what to do for a 4th of July post. I wanted something simple yet original for the USA readers which make up the biggest group among all the Pink Wedges readers (Thanks!). I didn’t want to (once again) create something out of Pinterest images (I already had the “4th of July” board). The light bulb turned on with a simple red, white and blue idea that has a fashion twist. I took photos of BLUE denim shirt and shorts, a sheer WHITE striped top and a RED printed vintage top. Here is my ode to the 4th of July in photos.

I call it “Stars and Stripes and Fabric“. I love the red photo from above and that vintage top. That photo tells me that there’s still hope for my camera. I hope to grow big enough cojones to do another outfit post soon.

Remember that this day means more that going to the beach, eating BBQ, and getting drunk. People fought for what they believed in to give us what we have now but that doesn’t mean that the fight is over.

Till the next post!! Take care.
