Por fin “llegó” (aquí es verano todo el año) la primavera y con ella llegaron las piezas y tendencias que muchas personas llevaban esperando desde septiembre del 2010. Así que un jueves decidí ir para el mall a ver si encontraba unos zapatos color marrón pero terminé llevándome esto: Striped T-Strap Vespadrille de Isabel Toledo para Payless, Nicola top y Road top de Valija Gitana. ¿Qué tienen en común estas piezas? Que todas tienen estampados de rayas. Son diferentes materiales, estilos y tendencias (Road top = “sheer”, Espadrillas = náutico y Nicola top =  demasiado parecido a Prada SS 2011) pero la base son las rayas. ¿Por qué tanta raya? Porque yo no tengo mucha ropa con raya (no me gustan mucho) pero estas piezas me robaron el corazón (Awwwww).

Spring is “finally” (in Puerto Rico it’s summer all year) here and with her came all the pieces and trends that many people have been waiting for since September ’10. So on a Thursday afternoon I decided to go to the mall to see if I could get some brown shoes. Instead I got this: Isabel Toledo for Payless Striped T-Strap Vespadrille, the Nicola top and the Road top from Valija Gitana.  What do these pieces have in common? Stripes. They might be of different materials, cuts and trends (Road top = sheer, Espadrilles = nautical, Nicola top = Prada SS 2011 “inspired”?) but the base of them all are stripes. Why so many stripes? I don’t own pieces with stripes (I don’t like them very much) but these pieces stole my heart (Awwwww).
